Educated at MAYO COLLEGE, Ajmer, where he did his Senior Cambridge in 1950 and II Year in 1952.
Joined ST. STEPHEN’S COLLEGE in Delhi where he did his B.A. Hons. (History) in 1954 and M.A. (History with Politics) from Delhi University in 1956.

Family Background

Belongs to the Hada – Chauhan clan.
Only one son of Brigadier His Highness Maharao Sir Ehim Singh II Bahadur KCSI, LL.D., Maharao of Kotah and Her Highness Maharani Shiv Kumari of Kotah. Married in 1964 to Maharani (then Yuvarani) Uttara Devi, Princess of Cooch-Behar. They have two children – Prince Ijyaraj Singh, born in 1965.Princes Bhawani Kumari, born in 1967. One grand-son, Prince Jaidev Singh, born in 1996 from his son’s side.
Two grand-daughters from his daughter’s side.
